For simmers in the Northern Hemisphere, July and August are frequent vacation months. To anyone currently enjoying time off work or school, we wish you a happy and restful break! We hope you’re able to enjoy some quality time in the virtual skies of Microsoft Flight Simulator!

Our team is currently working hard on the upcoming Sim Update 16 (tentatively scheduled for September 5) and, of course, the November 19 launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024! Even though everyone is super focused on these two upcoming releases, our panel of Jorg, Seb, and Martial will be taking the time to talk to the community and answer many of your most frequently-asked questions during our next Developer Livestream on Wednesday, August 14 at 10:30am PDT (1730 UTC). As always, this event will be broadcast live on our Twitch channel. If you would like to pre-submit a question to the panel in advance, you can do so using this web form.

THIRD PARTY UPDATE

As of 07/28, we have now approved 295 (+0) third parties into the in-sim marketplace and – so far 237 (+2) have released 3,912 products on PC (+105) and 3,666 on Xbox (+108).
In total, 4,678 products (+32) have already been released in 3rd party stores and the in-sim marketplace. Beyond that, another 803 products (+26) from 3rd party developers are in production (336 announced, 467 unannounced). In total, over 5,481 3rd party products (+58) have either been released or are in development.
Airports:
- 2,409 airports (+0) are either released or are in various stages of development.
  - 2,214 airports (+3) have been released on the platform so far in various stores.
  - 1,721 airports (+5) have been released in the in-sim marketplace.
  - 106 airports (-1) beyond the released airports have been announced.
  - 89 airports (-2) are not announced, but the dev let us know that an airport is in production.
Aircraft:
- 845 aircraft (+3) are either released or are in various stages of development.
  - 419 aircraft (+3) have been released on the platform so far in various stores.
  - 336 aircraft (+2) have been released in the in-sim PC marketplace.
  - 322 aircraft (+2) have been released in the in-sim Xbox marketplace.

The Community Fly-In Friday World Tour continues!

This week, we continue flying over Italy as we make our way from the capital city of Rome onwards to the famous canals of Venice! En route, we’ll also fly past the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the city of Bologna.
