Public testing of Aircraft & Avionics Update 02 (AAU_02) remains ongoing. Earlier this week, we released a new beta build (1.33.6.0) to testers. This build includes several dozen bug fixes and feature improvements. The full release notes can be found on our forum here.
June is Pride Month, and Xbox Game Studios Publishing is excited to announce a new long-term partnership with GLAAD. The primary goal of this initiative is to help our partner studios create games that can offer much-needed visibility, understanding, and support for LGBTQIA+ people for years to come. Xbox Publishing will be collaborating with GLAAD and amplifying existing resources through workshops and consulting to bring genuine, heartfelt, and aspirational LGBTQIA+ representation to more of our future games.
You can read more about this partnership and other ways that the Xbox family is celebrating Pride Month on the Xbox website here. For Microsoft Flight Simulator fans, you can find some player-created livery mods based on Pride liveries from real-world airlines linked later in this article.

Community Fly-In
June 1 is the birthday of Sir Frank Whittle, the aeronautical engineer who invented the jet engine. The jet is arguably the most important innovation in the field of aeronautics since the Wright Brothers first flight in 1903.
In recognition of Sir Frank’s birthday, this week’s event will see us fly fast military jets departing from RAF Luton (EGGW), onward for a touch and go at Whittle’s hometown of Coventry, up north to Manchester, then south to Wales where we will fly through the famous Mach Loop, a NATO training area where pilots fly fast aircraft at low altitudes through mountain valleys.
Event details are available here. All are welcome to participate!

The upcoming Aircraft & Avionics Update 02 brings numerous improvements to the Boeing 747 and 787. Recently on YouTube, 737NG Driver (a real-world airline pilot) has released several videos showcasing some of the changes in AAU_02.
In this video, he demonstrates how to perform a CAT III landing in near-zero visibility conditions using the Dreamliner’s HUD. Check it out!
