Creator Highlight

With the launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 in just a few weeks’ time, our Creator of the Month for November 2024 is software developer and YouTuber Marc from Flight Sim School!

With a focus on creating informative tutorial videos, Marc is a student of his own content and spends a considerable amount of time planning and researching his topics.

Flight Sim School’s introduction to the Microsoft Flight Simulator franchise came in the 1990’s with FS95, where his spark of passion for aviation began. Over a quarter of a century later after the launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020), Marc decided to try his hand at content creation after wanting to learn more about how to correctly operate aircraft whilst utilizing the simulator to its full potential. Marc has a keen eye for detail and meticulously prepares his video ideas well in advance, concentrating on what topics he either would love to learn more about himself, or in areas he believes he can help members of the community with the most.

Flight Sim School is a channel dedicated to helping viewers easily understand and follow the huge variety of topics covered. Whether it’s programming the CDU of a high-fidelity airliner, to learning how to navigate without the use of a GPS, Flight Sim School is a place for anybody no matter your level of experience! Marc is not a real-world pilot and understands that a lot of his audience isn’t as well, which is why he believes it is an important responsibility to thoroughly research his topics not only by studying documentation, but also through content created by real-world pilots.

Looking ahead to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Marc is excited to see where the new Career mode will take him on his next virtual journey, whilst also paying close attention to all the new technical details and enhancements coming to the new simulator.

November will all be all about beginner skills on his channel, so check out the Flight Sim School YouTube channel and we’re sure that you’ll learn something new!

Community Fly-In Friday

The Community Fly-In Friday World Tour continues!

This week, we’re departing Helsinki and crossing the Gulf of Finland to visit two more world capitals, the beautiful Baltic cities of Tallinn, Estonia and Riga, Latvia!

For the best experience, be sure to download and install the FREE World Updates V and XV: Nordics from the in-sim Marketplace.

PLEASE NOTE THE START TIME MAY BE DIFFERENT FOR YOU! With many regions recently switching from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time, we have adjusted the start time to 1900 UTC. In your local time zone, this could mean the start time either remains the same as before or is now one hour later than previous weeks.

Event details are available here. All are welcome to participate!

Community Video
