Earlier today we launched Expert Series 1: ATR 42/72-600 Expansion, which features a number of bug fixes and improvements to this popular turboprop. Additionally, this expansion also includes two new variants of the plane for your enjoyment: the 42-600S (short take-off and landing / STOL) and 72-600F (freighter). Owners of the Expert Series ATR 42/72-600 aircraft can download this FREE update via the Content Manager.

In the run up to the launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on November 19th, we are hosting a number of Developer Livestreams. The next Developer Livestream will be broadcast on Wednesday, October 16th at 10:30am PDT (1730 UTC) and focuses on 1st Party Aircraft Partners. We will be livestreaming the event on our official Twitch channel! The full schedule for our upcoming Developer Livestreams is below:

Finally, earlier this week we announced the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Technical Alpha, which is now open for applications via our Insider Sign-Up Survey. This week, we’re pleased to highlight the A330-200 from developer LVFR!

The Airbus A330-200 is a versatile wide-body aircraft known for its efficiency and long-range capabilities. Launched in the late 1990s, it features a streamlined design that allows it to cover distances of up to 7,400 miles, making it ideal for both medium and long-haul routes. With a typical seating capacity of around 210 to 250 passengers, the A330-200 is favored by airlines for its comfort and operational flexibility. Its advanced aerodynamics, coupled with modern engines, contribute to lower fuel consumption and reduced emissions, aligning with the industry’s push towards sustainability.   • Simbrief flight plan injection to CDU, allowing for long haul flight planning and insertion of complex routes (with oceanic crossings).

Community Fly-In Friday

The Community Fly-In Friday World Tour continues!

This week, we’re journeying northbound toward the Baltic Sea and onward to our next world capital city, Copenhagen! The flight will begin in Berlin where we left off last time then head north toward Denmark. En route we will see several POIs from World Update V and XV, so be sure to install them from the Marketplace!
